Dermaplaning

A physical skin rejuvenation treatment, resulting in more radiant, smooth skin, Dermaplaning uses a surgical sterile blade, gently stroked along the surface of the skin, removing dead skin cells and vellus facial hair (peach fuzz).

Performed with precision, this treatment is safe and pain free.

All Dermaplaning facials by Sally will include a free of charge enzyme peel

Is Dermaplaning the same as shaving?

Dermaplaning uses a surgical scalpel blade, not a razor.  The process of Dermaplaning does cut the hair off the face, but is much more aggressive.

So what is the difference?

  • Dermaplane blades are singular (razor blades are usually stacked with 2-3 blades)

  • Dermaplaning should not be used to get rid of terminal hair

  • Dermaplaning is intended to remove dead skin cells and improve fine lines, wrinkles, and improve skin tone and texture

Benefits of Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is one of the best methods of exfoliation, and has zero downtime.  Exfoliation is the secret to flawless, youthful skin!

Dermaplaning...

  • Improves skin texture

  • Eliminates dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz).

  • Minimises fine lines and wrinkles

  • Brightens skin and reduces hyperpigmentation

  • Increases product absorption

  • Promotes new skin cells

  • Makeup application is flawless

Will Dermaplaning make my hair grow back thicker or darker?

The answer to this is NO.

Vellus facial hair is finer and lighter than terminal hair.  Dermaplaning does not interfere with the hair follicle and cannot alter the growth pattern of the hair.

Dermaplaning is a safe treatment for pregnant/breast feeding women
